23 Killed, Prisoners Freed in Iraqi Raid

In a brazen daylight raid, a police station was attacked by fighters. 23 people were killed and man prisoners were freed.

That makes it over 120 deaths of Iraqi police or would-be police in the past week. This is obviously also a big FU to America's projection of power and even and indictment on our response times (helicopters, anyone?). Maybe if we weren't turtled in Baghdad, we could've responded to this in time.

Row over topless barbers

See, this is funny because on the ground floor of where I work there's this "Gentlemen's Hair Salon" which is run by (considered by some - not me - to be foxy)… and in NYC there's a "Gentlemen's Cabaret" which has an all you can eat buffet and topless women… so anyway, the joke's always been about the special treatment you can get at the Gentlemen's Hair Salon. Turns out it isn't so groundbreaking. Ahaahahahah. Aheh. Um. You just kinda have to be there, I guess.

(and for the record, I think it's deplorable that these women are essentially using sex to run a business. It's just sad that it works)

Sharks suffer population crash

Sharks, nature's most perfectly designed complex organisms and my personal favorite of the sea, are being decimated. Worldwide, the whitetip is on the verge of extinction. The hammerhead is down 89% in the Atlantic in the past 15 years.

This is what's typically called an ecological crisis.

Simply because the sharks don't have good PR and aren't cute like dolphins, they're getting a bum rap. People who eat shark fin soup ought to be ashamed.

The sharks have been around since the time of the dinosaurs and we, you and I, are going to be the ones that wipe them all out.

of course, the documents weren't allowed to leave the room. From all appearances, the traffic infractions were minor… but in order to be part of TANG would have required a waiver from TANG. There is no such waiver.
