My money didn't buy me special privlieges so lets play the race card. What pisses me off about this bullshit is that everybody, and I MEAN EVERYBODY knows that if it was ANY ONE of us middle class working schlubs standing outside that door, they wouldn't have opened it for us either. Oh, the humiliation. Get over yourself lady! Oprah doesn't seem to grasp for a second that out of one side of her mouth she is claiming PRIVILEGE of SOCIAL STATUS while crying SOCIAL DISCRIMINATION out of the other. Most of us are never goint to have the money and power to even worry about whether a high class Parisian store is showing us the PROPER RESPECT. The emphasis this woman puts on wealth and status is disgusting. You know, maybe Oprah should get her head out of her ass and realize its not all about materialism and people bowing and scraping to you.. Oh, its all kind of cool to get all of the publicity and accalades by giving an entire middle class studio audience brand new automobiles to drive home. Maybe it would have been more socially relevant to recruit a studio audience of mimimum wage families and buy them a couple of years worth of health insurance instead. I'm guessing that little watch she wanted to buy in Hermes probably was going to cost her more money than the average minimum wage worker earns in a year. Maybe if she had a chance to see what real social and economic discrimination is and put some of that on her show, she wouldn't have time to sit around and feel sorry for herself.
