If the GOP had laid down when the Democrats were in power, the way the Democrats are laying down now, Comprehensive National Health Insurance would have been in place for the last several decades and we wouldn't even be worrying about a Social Securty/Medicare Crisis. I'll tell you the truth that the Democratic Party should stand up and dare the Republican Party to exercise their stupid option to eliminate the filibuster. Then, we pull out all of the stops, take back the white house and both houses of congress and turn a deaf ear to wailing and nashing of teeth as we push through all of the things that the GOP has oppossed for the last 80 years. If they can't see the downside to ending the filibuster for their side of the aisle, then f*** them. The best way for them to learn is through experience.
