GOP playing the blame game
and simultaneously hitting the bottom of the barrel. Livingston said, on live TV that was broadcast and indelibly printed into the subconscious of millions of as-yet-unborn bacteria:
U]nfortunately, you know, we had a tremendous amount of burden that was handed to us by the Clinton administration with the growth of the government scandals…[T]hen we got hit by 9/11, terrorist action which was due to the growth of the very radical Muslim element and led by Osama Bin Laden which we could have taken out in the last decade.
That’s right, ladies and gents, the deficit, Iraq, the miserable failure in Afghanistan… it’s all Clinton’s fault! Nevermind that Clinton pared down the government to its smallest workforce in years, left with a surplus, and actually tried to kill bin Laden, he’s obviously to blame.
One has to wonder if the GOP knows that Clinton’s been out of power for 5 years now. I mean, really, people. Truly a lack of imagination. Up next: Al Gore invented al Qaeda.
