Life’s tough on the other end of the spotlight, isn’t it?
The WaPo insiders revealed themselves to be clueless narcissists. Well, mostly. An internal message board where they were talking about Woodward made its way to the internets. It’s fascinating on many levels, not the least of which is the entire groups apparent cluelessness as to the severity of the breach of their institution.
Woodward == Judy Miller, people.
A few notes:
- What delicious irony to have a defender of Woodward refer to his detractors as “nattering nabobs.” Man, that tickled me
- I love how every post after Yardley complains about the link turns into a toast for Woodward. Great man! Best reporter ever! I love him sooooo much! Fuckin hierarchy monkey bitches.
- Andy Mosher points out the ridiculousness of the situation where a government responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands can manipulate the confidentiality pledges to their advantage… but the reporters do not do it for themselves
- Yardley makes good points about the star system
- Kudos to Krim for pointing out the real 800 pound gorilla – Woodward’s unethical and dishonest behavior in this whole Plame matter. My guess is, he’s about to become the beat reporter for snowflake sightings in Ketchikan.
