From the “I can’t believe she gets paid to teach law” department

Comes round 15 of the Althouse kerfluffle, and she just keeps on embarassing herself. I’ve mentioned my lack of respect for Althouse’s acumen and blogging skills before, but she’s really taking it to a new level.

Proof positive that a Sullivan & Cromwell background shows nothing more than that you are an evil climber and casts no light on a person’s brain power.

At any rate, this whole thing is getting too meta for me, but it’s interesting in a small-town-gossip sort of way. Long story short, Althouse is a conservative who is not a feminist (or may be, but the way she uses the term “feminist” obviously indicates that to her feminists are Them, not Us). I, on the other hand, am a feminist. Onward.

The argument all boiled down to Althouse asking why the feminists didn’t rise up and protect her from a troll using sexist language, echidne responded (and also made a valid point about language, this in reference to the NPR blogging piece (of shit) reporting from last week). Atrios weighed in. Althouse responded. Atrios clarified. Someone else whose name is escaping me responded. Althouse replied. The one I can’t remember responded again (because s/he responded to what Althouse actually said rather than what was in Althouse’s head. Imagine that). Althouse responded again, and now Thersites really shows what a buffoon Althouse is. Not to mention dishonest with those selective quotations. Each of Althouse’s responses were worse than the last.

So that’s the meta blogging commentary for the day. Conservative blogger whines, makes ass of self, uses deception, whines some more. News at 11.
