I’m back, baby!
Posted in Misc by Chris at 11:35
For the first time in about 18 months, I’m back to averaging over 6mph over 32 minutes in my cardio workouts. I know that may not sound like much to you, but it was one of my goals. And re-reaching it made me happy.
Now the only problem is the defining of a new goal. The next “real” mph goal is 9mph, and I’m not really sure my body is the kind designed for 9mph-type activities. The other option is more time… but that’s just boring.
Update: dammit, slideback on D6+1. 5.95mph average on same course. Boo.

up the resistance. Builds muscle, and takes care of cardio at the same time. speed, schmeed. You’re on a STATIONARY machine, it’s not like there are elliptical races or anything. Plus, who wants to spend more time than they have to on those infernal things? (I up the resistance to 18 out of 20 max and go for 35 minutes rpm is slow but I work a lot harder than if I were fast with no resistance.) hmmm. resistance builds strengh. good life metaphor there.

well, the speed is more as a guidepost of Accomplishment (complete with monster truck rally announcer voice). I was always more of a distance runner than a sprinter.
That said, good idea. I’ll start upping the
painresistance. Still going to shoot for 6mph average (6mph makes the math easier too)So what you’re saying is that you’d like me strong and thick as opposed to long and lean?

Low hanging fruit there, babe. Why do you tempt me?

My fruit always hangs low. Except when it’s really cold, that is.
